Under 16 Eye Examination
As parents we want the best for our children. Our children's eye examination provides the comprehensive assessment of their eye health and refraction. This exam can take up to 35 minutes long and we address any concerns you may have.
Our under 16 eye examination consists of,

Taking a full detailed history of your eye and overall physical health, any concerns you may be having about your eyes and any history of eye disease within your family

Where possible, a full screening before the exam consisting of digital retinal photography and auto refraction to help determine your current eye prescription.​

Muscle balance tests.

Full focimetry of current and previous spectacles to help determine an accurate prescription.​

A full slit lamp assessment to determine the overall health of the eye both anterior and posterior. A digital slit lamp to highlight and track any changes to your eye health over time.

A full refraction with a digital phoropter with binocular balancing and near reading addition where required.

A comparison between your current and new prescription to see if there is any meaningful change for assurance and peace of mind.

Stereopsis test to determine depth perception between the two eyes.

A colour vision test where required

A detailed explanation of your eye examination, refraction and any follow ups that may be required.

A copy of your prescription at the end of the examination.
